Tömörkény is a village in Csongrád county, in the Southern Great Plain region of southern Hungary.

Geography

It covers an area ofand has a population of 1981 people (2002).

History: the first settlement's was built by the sarmata's and the avars. There was some cemetery and iron working equipments founded. It first legal sign from the XI. century, named "Temerken".In the turkish times a small tower defended the local peoples. Nowadays, this is a typical agricultural village near to Csongrád town.
