Szarvaskő

During a hunt, dogs were chasing a deer that escaped to the chine of the cliff, where the castle was later built. As it could not escape further, the animal jumped from the top of the cliff into the depth. This is where the name of the village originates from, at least according to the legend. The ruins of the fort erected on the ridge of the mountain are still visible and are accessible on foot, on an easy, 15-minute walking tour from the centre of the village
