History

World War II leader of Hungary, Miklós Horthy was born here and buried here after the Revolutions of 1989, the dissolution of the Warsaw Pact and the withdrawal of Russian/Soviet troops. His will stated he wasn't to be returned there until "the last Russian solder has left.".
