History

First mention of Jászárokszállás was in the beginning of the 14th century.

People

Famous artists from here are Jenő Balassa (1859-1926), Imre Pethes (1864-1924), János Görbe (1912-1968). All of them were actors. Here lived Ferenc Donáth (1913-1986) a famous Hungarian politician.
