Hejce is a village in Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén county, Hungary. It is gloomy known for the tragedy of Slovakian military aircraftAN-24 which came down there at January 19, 2006. The plane was carrying Slovak peacekeeping troops from Pristina in Kosovo to Kosice in Slovakia. There was the only one from 43 soldiers survived.
