Felsőtárkány

The gateway to the Bükk Mountains. Every kind of tree, from oak to beech, can be found here. There are also a number of protected plants here, too. "Boldogasszony papucsa" (lady's slipper) has become the symbol of the village, it can even be found in its coat-of-arms. The area of the village has a rich fauna, including hedgehogs, badgers and wild cats. The forest railway provides a special experience. (1 May - 30 September, twice a day, at 9:30 and 14:00.
