Town with 10,741 residents 25 km north of Miskolc in the valley of the river Bódva. The Calvinist church, a monument of late Gothic architecture, was built in the 14th century. The Coburg-L'Huillier Palace was built in the years 1727-29, it is one of the largest (7,710 m2, 106 rooms) uniform early Baroque palaces with valuable frescoes. This admirable edifice awaits a user, it can be visited only with special licence. Another sight worthy of note is the Traditional Home of the Borsod Region with exhibitions of excavation finds from the Borsod earthwork and of relics of peasant life between the two World Wars.
