Why is it worth visiting Gyula?

Because it is easy to approach by car, by train and also by bus.

Because the city is well-known of its brick castle, where the performances of the Várszínház (‘Castle-theatre’) and many other events are organised each summer.

Because Gyula is also well-known of the Várfürdő (Castle-bath), which is extended next to the castle on an 8.5 hectares (≈21 acres) park.

Different kind of pools, spas and wellness programs are waiting for everyone who wants to recover and/or relax.

Because many museums and exhibitions are also waiting for you in Gyula, like the house where Ferenc Erkel[1] was born, the Dürer-Hall, the Kohán-Gallery[2] and the castle of Gyulavár. 

Because all the fountains, restaurants, confectioneries and cafés give the city the character of Mediterranean.

Our Guest-house is located in a silent street in the bath district, near the entrance of the Várfürdő (300 meters ≈984,25 feet) waiting for guests throughout the year. The downtown is not more than 10 minutes on foot. Accommodation can be provided in the house for 12 persons comfortably. (The host lives not in the same house.)

In 2008 the Guest-house has been completely renovated and rebuilt. 3 separated apartments were established: apartment Orchidea (‘Orchid’) is for 6 people, apartment Flamingó (‘Flamingo’) can sleep 2+2 people, apartment Jázmin (‘Jasmine’) is for 2 persons. /To see the apartments click on the name of the apartment next to the flowers!/ Our Guest-house is children’s friend; all apartments can be equipped with a cot or with high chair (to feed babies). The apartments have modern, variable heating, all rooms are air-conditioned. There is a possibility also of internet-access.

For cars we have closed parking spaces observed by camera. In the garden you might barbecue and eat the ready-cooked meal in the summer-house. Room service (breakfast-dinner-lunch) is also available for our guests.
